Meet Dr. Strevey
Dr. Phil Strevey
Dr. Phil Strevey, prefers to be called Phil. He is a highly skilled family cosmetic and general dentist, who is gentle, personable, fun-loving, and an all-around sports-enthusiast. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has spent most of his life in Nebraska. He is a graduate of Omaha Westside High School and the University of Nebraska. Dr. Strevey graduated in 1987 from the University of Nebraska Dental College and opened his private practice in Ralston, NE.
Dr. Strevey resides in
Elkhorn, NE with his wife Sara who is a pharmacist and an avid
scrapbooker. They have two children Kristen and Jonathan, a large
garden, and two cats. His family is active in the boy scout program,
Sunday school, church musicals, and select soccer teams. He
enjoys building relationships, listening to the adventures of our
patients along with their family stories of births, graduations,
weddings, and winning sports teams. He coaches and mentors patients to
make good oral health care decisions that enable his patients to keep
their teeth for a lifetime.
Dr. Strevey is passionate about continuing education and has attained a Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry (soon to become a Master in the AGD). Along with his passion for excellent oral health is his enthusiasm for coaching and playing soccer, going to Nicaragua for Medical/Dental mission trips (he has been seven different times), and spending time with his church Sunday School group and family. In 1989 he began his continuing education at the Pankey Institute, and has been involved in numerous educational and lecturing opportunities. He is the founder and mentor of the Nebraska Tucker Study Club (conservative gold castings) which was started in 1998 and has also completed all levels of training from (OBI) Orognathic Bioesthetics International.
Additionally Dr. Strevey and some of the Strevey Dental team members have participated in the Schuster Center and several courses with Dr. Bob Frazer involving principle-centered leadership, applied strategic planning, and emotional intelligence. Dr. Strevey serves as a Board member for the American Academy of Dental Practice Administrators (AADPA) and as the Past President and an active Board Member with the Nebraska Academy of General Dentistry (NAGD).
